Ilana Rosenzweig served as Chief Administrator of the City of Chicago’s Independent Police Review Authority, where she supervised more than 90 civilians responsible for intake and investigation of allegations of misconduct made against Chicago Police Department members, as well as officer-involved shootings and other uses of force – over 2500 investigations annually. Before that, Ilana was an attorney in the Los Angeles County Office of Independent Review and is a founding member and Principal of OIR Group.  Prior to joining OIR, Ilana worked with Special Counsel Merrick Bobb on issues involving the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deprartment, including gender discrimination, sexual harassment, use of force complaints, and departmental programs to promote gender equity.


Ilana is an experienced attorney who has spent the majority of her career focused on law enforcement oversight.  In addition to her work with numerous agencies, she served as a Board member and President of the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (“NACOLE”).  She attended the College of William and Mary, and obtained her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
