Teresa has over 14 years of experience in investigation, research, and evaluation.  Teresa has worked in both the public and private sectors.  She worked in the Use of Force and Complaints Sections of the Los Angeles Police Department's Inspector General, and served on the LA County Citizen Commission on Jail Violence.  Teresa also served as an analyst for Mayor Villaraigosa's Performance Management Unit as a liaison between the LAPD and Mayor's Office.  She was a Senior Consultant with Deloitte Consulting, an Economist for the Milken Institute, and a research investigator at UCLA.  Her expertise includes evaluating use of force incidents and Internal Affairs investigations.  Teresa also has experience in large system implementations, generally, and in the development, use, and implementation of law enforcement systems, specifically.  Teresa has a Master of Public Policy, where she focused on Crime Policy, and a Bachelor of Sociology and Women's Studies from UCLA.

 

Teresa is bilingual in Spanish, both conversational and business, and is professionally trained in public policy and interviewing.
